I have two questions. What was the larest tractor made in the high crop configuration? Over the weekend at the Georgetown, Ohio show I saw what I think was an International 1066 high crop. Also, were these tractors used for other jobs around the farm or primarily used for cultivating?

Howdy,

Didn't realize that there were so many local folks on this board. Where are you all located? Did you bring anything to the show (other than the 1066 that Paul is talking about)? I live over in Adams County and had a Farmall A and John Deere M at the show. Both on the back side of the grounds. God bless.

I probably seen your M at Georgetown. I think there were only a couple there. You the one hooked to the pulling sled?

I have a 1949 M and live in Medway and was reading the Xenia info book last night.

Howdy,

Yeah, that was the M I had up there. The fella on the tractor was dad. I was the loser on the Farmall A that wouldn't run right long enough to pull ha ha.

Started back up quickly though. How would you like to have been the guy on the real old Case that to hand crank it when it died?

I live in Beavercreek which is half way between Dayton and Xenia along State Route 35. I have two John Deeres, a 1941 B and a 1946 H. Both are out of comission at the moment so I didn't have them at the Georgetown Show. There are a couple local shows coming up that are pretty nice. One is the Wilmington Corn Festival September 8-10 and the other is Old Timer's Days September 22-24 at Xenia.

Howdy,

Yup, I've seen you pull a few times over at the fair. I've also delivered parts to your boy too over at the bowling alley. I work at the Superstore over in Georgetown and live about 5 miles E. of West Union close to Lynx.

I saw that big boy also. Neat tractor. To be technically correct, painted in script on the lower side front was "High Clear". Be nice to know it maybe that was that guys version of High Crop.

the original sides said high clear not high crop, they are not available thru cnh, somewere i have a picture of the original sides , we had a sighn shop make them, i wish i could post pictures i have about 50 of it before ,during and after painting it, i know its not perfect but someday it will b closer, welds on braces on front, one lift arm is welded, the tractor belongs to my wife, vicky, from what i have found there was only a handful of the 1066 high clear models made , that one being a blackstripe makes it very desireable to us, counting it i have seen 1 1066 high clear in person and 4 in pictures, also look in your itt manual it shows the front axel break down on the high clear models, high clear, not high crop, 1086 is the newest i have seen pictures of, sorry for the long post
