Even having a nameplate won't always get you too far. I had a Wagner loader on my Ford, the loader was a 9NM model as I recall. Something that I never found in any Wagner literature (what can I say, I'm a literature hound).

Not that it mattered anyhow, as Wagner parts aren't made, and you've got to go measuring things to figure out if replacement parts will fit.

I have an 841 with a Wagner loader. There is a name plate somewhere near the valves, but it was pretty well worn when we cleaned up the loader and painted it last winter. There are also name plates two on the "non-business" ends of the cylinders ( that raise and lower the boomi.e., on the backs of the cylinder housings)near your feet. They were buried in grease and dirt and were much better preserved. Those ones won't give you the model number, but I don't know that you need it. Generic hydraulic parts and couplings can be matched by numbers on the parts themselves or just by cylinder diameters, descriptions of seals and that sort of thing.

The the loader I have on my 8N has a plate on the right hand side on the main frame just behind the main arm pivot. So if your sitting on the seat it would be just at arms reach when you where on the seat at about shoulder level. Theres a picture of the tractor in the web page, its the one with the backhoe
