Points were badly corroded. I Cleaned them up and checked all of the gaps, she fired up. But now wont run, fires right away and stalls. Does anyone know the settings for the bottom screw, and the middle? I would like to split some wood today! Thanks.

I had the carb set right, the valve was on so the cylinder was full pressure so it wouldn't start. I split wood for a good 1/2 hour tonight and it ran great. Thanks for all of the help. And appology accepted, I do the same thing sometimes.

I might add that the hole that may be plugged is on some carburators in the brass screw that holds the carb bowl on. There is some type of hole or pick up tube involved. I just don't know the exact carb you have involved.

Most adjustment screws can be backed out 1 1/2 to 2 turns and then adjusted more accurately when warmed up. Suspect you have a hole plugged up that moves gas from the carb bowl up the carb.
