ot trailer wiring

ok i need to know how to wire my single axle trailer with brakes i will have the folling lights front and front side orange markers then rear red tail lights and a dot 3 light strip in the middle rear i am going to wire this to a 7 prong if anyone could help it would be apreciated thanks chris

Its called a "bargman connector". Just do a search, google will pop up a bunch of places with the pinouts. Most RV's use them. The running & tail lights all go to one pin, there's a pin for each of the turn signal/brake lights, one for the brakes, one for ground, & one for auxillary power if you have a battery on the trailer you need to charge from the tow vehicle. The 7th pin is sometimes used for a backup light.

One thing to watch, a lot of commercial trailers depend on the hitch ball to make a ground connection. Bad idea. Make sure the brakes have a good connection directly to the ground pin in the connector. You can also connect this pin to the trailer chassis.
