Hi again. Got the spray-coupe home, most everything electric seems to work (except the headlights in front; the others work, I assume these are burnt out.) SN is 2206298-87. I called the local dealer, said he'd call AgCo looking for books. I'm still waiting for a call back. I've been out looking it over. It didn't start when I hit the key, so I pulled the air-cleaner hose off and dumped some gas in the carb. She fired right up, ran till the carb was empty, and quit again. Okay, bad gas in the tank (smells like varnish.) Went looking for the fuel line, and praise all that's holy, I can't find it! Looks like the hose on the carb goes around the engine and ties into the water pump (other 2 hoses out of the pump go back to the radiator.)
Now I'm thinking she sure can't run on antifreeze! I hope I didn't screw something up by "givin' her a sniff" as we call it around here (dumping gas direct into the carb, I mean.) Well, that's the extent of my looking for now. I'm gonna have to wait until I've got somebody a little more knowledgeable to peek at it, but Dad's not home.

I"ve had a 220 ("87 model)for a long time; carburetor is finicky. Have to take it apart and clean it up every Spring before it"ll run right; only about a 15 minute job after you"ve done it a time or two.

Perhaps that might explain something else I saw. Pouring gas in the carb (perhaps a little too much) I saw it run out on both sides. Figured I'll probably need to replace O-rings or something.

But where did they hide the fuel line?

Found the fuel line. It was tucked up under the frame on the left side. But it was wrapped in one of those plastic ribbed tubes so I figured I was holding a wire bundle.

Drained the old gas out, put fresh gas in. It starts, but it doesn't seem to get enough gas unless you hold the choke closed by hand on the engine. Official opinion is that the carburetor needs cleaned. So that's the next step...
