The radio in my IH 886 is about done. Can I just go to NAPA and buy a car radio the same front size and put in there? Or am I ahead to get one from Case IH?

I use a combination hearing protector and radio, it works good and saves what hearing I have left.

I've had 90$ units.. and NH units on my fender.. However.. I've now taken to an arm band radio from of all places.. radio schack.. works great.. digital tuner.. pulls in al the classic rock stations so I can relaxe while cutting the pasture.

I too was wondering about this - just never got into electrical doodads.

Does the ant, speakers, and all just plug right in, or does everything need to be replaced?

On a tractor it is nice to have memory and seek buttons when you’re bouncing around. A good one can be had from Wal-Mart for under $90.

The problem is that the selector dial doesn't work and half the buttons don't work either.

Don't mean to insult your intelligence but sometimes an antenna connection will corrode and cause the radio to fail. Chemicals can accelerate the process. Also, arcing in the generator or spark systems can cause problems.

Auto junk yards often have radio/CD players for under 60 bucks, that is a good buy, and the guarantee is the cheap price. JimN
