first of march i bought a farm about 5 miles away, 240 acres, nice square 160 and an 80 with a creek, tool shed, 2 bins and a crib. april i go there to bush hog the creek with the farmall m. 45 degrees windy and cloudy, no rain forecast. clouds got dark..i can make one more round and head back. get to the end of the creek, clouds let loose...gully washer. drove back in a driving rain,,no cab...cold and wet. current tennant farmer had stuff in all the barns. next....take the little deere hydro on the trailer to mow the crop side of the ditches, real steep...have atv knobby tires on it. started getting cloudy.... i can make one more round..go to the n east corner, 3/4 mile from truck...cloud lets loose...SOAKED AGAIN. loaded up,,went back to the barn...in the rag box, found a size small junoir achievement tee shirt( i wear xl)...pair of pink socks and a ripped up bed sheet. lit the grille, hung the wet clothes on the ladder and started working on stuff. neighbor decides to stop by...walks in the shed..sees me in a yellow tee shirt pink socks and a blanket. i says if i knew i was gonna have company i would of dresses up. this saturday, mowed again, got wet...sunday....tried to finish ...got wet....i think i got time to make one more round!!!!! !
