Well as much as I tried to put it off it looks as if winter will finally get me. Supposed to snow tonight with highs in the 30's tomorrow so I figured I better get a tractor in the shop for a winter project. I'm going to work on a Deere 70 Diesel Standard with hydraulics, pto, rockshaft and an adjustable front axle, so its pretty well loaded. What do you guys have going on for the winter?

On the farm, the Massey 135 needs to be reassembled. Need to add on to cattle housing and most haying equipment needs maintenance and this year may be the one to build a bandsaw mill..

With the FFA students, it looks like a Farmall A rebuild, Cub Cadet rebuild, and a stovewood wrapper to design and build.

Please don't mention to wife that house is not on this list ;>

I'm working on a 57' Ford Fairlane 500...she's not in good shape...just a new wiring harness and some TLC on the mill.

The only other thing I would like to fall into would be a nice Minneapolis RTU...I hope I can be working on one of those here in a month or two!

I bought a '48 Hudson coupe this past spring, and after driving it this summer, have a list of about a dozen things that need attention. Gonna jack it up, put it on jackstands, and have at it.

I have to finish my brother's '48 Oliver 60 Standard and hope to have my 1939 GMC 1/2 Ton Pickup at least built back up to the rolling chassis.

I reckon I'll pull my 1938 F14 into the shop for some updates. New radiator core, brake drum covers, intake/exhaust gasket, that sort of thing.

Feller could do all that in a couple of days if he worked at it, but with my schedule at work and my natural tendency to hibernate in the winter, it'll prolly take me a month or more.

Tear into the transmission on my 47 MD to find the bad bearings that are driving me crazy, put the motor together on my 41 H, and of course go tractor shopping and see what follows me home. Also spend a little time collecting and trying to customize 1/16 scale tractor models.

Winter hasn`t arrived her yet. First have to harvest the soybeans, just about ready. Then wean the calves late Nov. Run them over until early next year. Got 1/4 mile new fence to build,
then if there is any time after taking care of the cattle, have JD "H", JD "D" JD "70" Cub farmall, and "C" farmall in various stages of repair. I got a felling the tractors won`t get much attention.

I have a SMTA to put together. It's been apart since 1999. Bad head (new head now) bad TA (I rebuilt it now) ground crank, new crank bearings, polished cam and new cam bearngs, and just put it back together. I either have the time to do it, or the money, but it's really hard to have both when I need both. Hope to have it done by spring. Wayne

First thing is a trip to Worland WY to pick up a 1952 Eagle Hitch D Case, then back to work on getting my '49 DC3 single front ready to paint.

I've got a 400 Farmall Highcrop(Highdrum Cotton Tractor) my son and I are going to do this winter. I did an M Farmall highcrop last year that created quite a stir at the local tractor shows this year. Maybe the 400 will do the same!!

I got my Cub to finish. Eingine is still in the machine shop. Also work with my N scale model trains.
They are in the house so I dont have to heat this work space.

I've still got my '49 Dodge Power Wagon that needs a bed..I've got most everything else squirled away for a major restore..I didn't want to do anything till I found most of the parts for it..Clutch , brakes , steel lines , new gas tank , trans seals , and extra fenders..I'm still looking for a print or clear photo of the add-on 3-point hitch and rear pto..I've got a video of a '51 dodge power wagon promotional tape with above ammenities..It would be a sweet to get it on the road..4-5 mpg and 47 mph wide open with a tail wind...

I have my J.D. L 1940 in to check noise in the clutch area. Pilot, through out or belt drive asembly. Also have an old jacobson three whell machine with hydrulic dump to be cleanedup. For some reason Fall hasn't arrived except for two light frosts and acouple rains, not typical for the coast of Washington State.

Gotta finish putting together the Oliver 1755. Needs the rest of the paint, and assembly. After that I have a bushhog ditch and back mower that needs completely restored. In between those two I need to split and sell the firewood laying in the field. A couple of cords there...And if that ALL gets done I have a wood barn floor that needs attention...

That ought to be fun! I am gonna build a couple of hay racks for two old running gears I bought at a farm sale a couple weeks ago. I'd like to get my 52' JD B back together which is laying in about 2000 pieces all over the barn, need to rebuild the hydraulic pump on my Oliver 1955, if I keep it.
