Too Late for Roundup?

I'm planning on coverting about 30 acres of grass hay ground into soybeans next year. My question is: Is it too late to spray with roundup or should I just wait until next spring? I'm in Southern Wisconsin and we have had seveal hard freezes and even a little snow. I don't want to spend the money if it isn't going catch as well as it should.

Native grasses in your area have mostly gone dormat if the ground temp is below about 50* and roundup would not be very efective untill spring

As long as it is green round up will work. I have sprayed it on stuff in November and it still worked. It will take two to three weeks to even start changing color.

i'd wait until spring green-up and spray it w/ Gramaxone. RU below 50 deg. is weak, and worthless on dormant plants (now)
