THANKS for the help guys! The border crossing went smoothly. Getting the right paperwork done in advance with a broker was a little over $100.00. THe seller hauled it across and it was clean and he got some kind of waiver permit as a private hauler.

Crossing the border can be easy. Make sure you can prove it was made in USA so no tarrif. The second big thin is have it very very clean, no dirt none. Bill of sale and all your own personal paper work such as ID and drivers license and birth cert,

This has been discussed before. Depends a lot on where the tractor was manufactured, the age, etc.
If the tractor was made in the U.S., there should be no problem, but you need to get a broker involved, most likely..

We use to bring quite a few tractors in over the years. The last time through we got jerked around so bad from our own customs that we no longer do it anymore. You now need brokerage papers sent to customs at least 24 hours in advance of your arrival at the border. In addition, do not attempt to bring in any Kubota's under 50 hp. , you will get turned back. something about a trade agreeement. Dave
