I was coming down the road today and passed a duetz-allis with a disc mower mounted on the front and a disc mower on the back. The one on front was green (not John Deere) and a kuhn on the back. Any of you have a set up like this.

If you stop and think about it, regular hay swathers have always been front mounted. The drive unit just was not removable.

Not a lot of 3PL front mounted gear over here, but more and more blokes are mounting air seeders on the front. The seed meters are driven by electric motors and are controlled by input from the ground speed radar. The faster you go, the more seed they put out.

Yes, this front mounted equipment is very common in Europe. We have also frontmounted furrow presses instead of the ones You pull beside the plough. They have iron rings or wheels on Link

Europe has kinda surpassed the USA on forage type equipment these days.

I've seen what you are talking about in magazines, imported stuff from Europe. Since I am a _tad_ smaller than needing this type of equipment, I can't say much more about it.
