Okay,

I need a glass put in the door of a tractor cab, right?

Take it into town to the glass guy. He says he has to send it off to Rapid City to be repaired and then it will come back in on the truck in a week's time.

Geeze, startin' to wonder if maybe I live too darned far out in the boonies. :>(

Allan

You know you are in the boonies when it takes three days to get a Next day UPS . Most places in WV are that way .

At least you were able to take the frame in for that. My bead blast cabinet is huge and heavy and needed new window for it so marked off hole on cardboard and luckily the glass guy said he knew exactly how much to mark off edges with compass and cut it for tractor window gasket but then he said no guarantees or returns if it didn't fit? lol. Lucky for him it fit great!

So do you plan to install the motor curtain and pipe the heat in the cab or just use the cab cold to keep the wind off you.

No,

I bought a little 5" thick hot water heater to hang off the right lower wall right about the hose inlets up thru the floor.

Kind of a cute little bugger with a 3-speed fan built in.

Got a 1/2" thick curtain cut from left over floor matting for the lower part of the door.

Still waiting on those three valves to get here for the hydraulics. Had to order the buggers and should be here before the end of the week.

Think I'm gonna load the tractor/loader up and drag it up here to the hills to put in the cab insulation and the heater. All my tools are here anyways. :>)

Nope I don't think you do. If you took your tractor door to a glass place in downtown New York City they probably wouldn't know what is was or what to do and they would have to send it to Rapid City too.

Yes,but if you crossed the East River into the Bronx you would be confronted by about fifty glass places cheaper than you can imagine.Like new windsheild 120 used 80 bucks. The Bronx is where old cars go to die.If they see a cracked window they will be waving you in its so competetive. They even put your inspection sticker from the old window to the new without damage. They have tractor glass too.

Well Yeah,

But everybody knows that New York City and good ol' San Fran are located in totally different countrys than we are.

Pretty sure one is in Mexico and the other is..... .well, don't know where the other one is fer sure. :>)
