I posted this on the Stationary page but I thought I would post it here also.
I need a fuel tank for my Hobart welder. It looks like it was 12-16in by 20in. with the filler on top and the supply on one end.
I am using a 1gal plastic lawnmower tank now.
Any creative ideas out there?
Brian

Don't know where you live but if you have a store like Princess auto, you could pick up a hydraulic tank and use it. They have lots of fittings on them and a filler. My friend used one for his back up generator on his chicken farm. Dave

Not to be a smart... you have a welder. Make a tank. I have a tank I use for various things that came out of a rider tractor. about 17 by 15 by 6. Should be easy to find one.

I converted a cheap Harbor Freight portable air tank to a soap tank for our steam cleaner. The same set up would work for a fuel tank

A good lawn mower shop should be able to get you a gas tank that would work for you. You could also get a small beer keg and rework it for a gas tank. I've seen more then one hot rod with a beer keg gas tank. You can also check with a place like northern hyd some times they list tanks for things like that

Boat 6 gal outboard motor gas tank with primer bulb in the hose works great for portable or stationary fuel tank.
