H farmall of neighbors broke valve scraped engine (Keep this in mind) tractor allways started easy.
Went to local savage yard.three H-s setting there put battery on one.6 volt. easy start took right off run smooth no noise.i'll just take that engine no need to start them all might make it hard to choose.took engine home bolted in tractor.flywheel an all.(now)
we have problems.when starter get engine up on compression it just won't go on? i would have thought starter.no.battery.no.cables.no.push botton switch.no. we have changed it all?. you can crank-or put belt pully in gear to use as hand crank. not at all hard to start.
Where O where did we go wrong? adapter plate drilled different maybe????? ??.

Guys throw some curves we're already in circles

Tough one from a distance, but if i understand it, I would do all the normal 6 volt things. Cable connections, good ground, etc. Is that the same starter that ran it befor? I once had brushes hang up in a starter and cause some funney things. Same battery? or a weak one? Good luck.

coloken.
i never seen anything like it.we change battery-put new 1 gauge cables-change starter-push botton switch.

you can unhook generator wires.to prevent damage.

set a small 12 volt in there it starts as quick as you push the botton
bill
