I would be very interested in obtaining a list of every antiq tractor brand ever made (common brands, not-so-common brands, and even brands that were not around for very long, and have been "extinct" ever since. Does anyone have a source to find such a list?

"Tracks In The Woods" is another great book.

I have those books Bob listed and they are very good. You'll also find some one of a kind tractors tested at Nebraska too. C.H. Wendel did a book on Nebraska Tractor Tests also. ASAE, American Society Agricultural Engineers has some imformative books also and a catalog of old tractor and farm machinery books.

I doubt ANYONE would have a COMPLETE list of EVERY tractor brand ever made, including "fly-by-night" brands that were only around a short time (IF they even ever got past the point of selling their stock to "investors").

For a good start, head to the library, and see if you can lay your hands on a copy of C. H. Wendel's "Encyclopedia of American Farm Tractors", and a copy of Floyd Clymer's "Album of Historical Steam Traction Engines.

Those two books will keep you busy for a while, and I'm certain there's LOTS of others, PLUS all the industrials that have been made. Have FUN!
