I have pieces of some harrows. Two spike tooth, two spring tooth. (In this clay the only way to pull a spring tooth is on a trailer!!). I've looked them over and they just don't fit the bill as far as my pasture/cattle operation is concerned. I won't send them off to scrap because of the historical value but right now they're just sitting in the front yard.
I heard somewhere of the quadrant levers being used for BBQ grill adjusters or something. That sounds like a good project but I can't picture how it was done.
What else would you do with 8 feet of spike tooth that needed $200 of rehab in order to use in the field?

A gentleman bordering I-35 about 10 miles south of Clear Lake Iowa has a trailer plow pyramid. It sits at the south end of his pond.I think he started with a 6 bottom and then a 5, a 4 a 3, a 2 and then I think a walking plow on the top. It has been awhile since I saw it, but I always look when I go that way. The bottom might be a 5, but it is a nice sculpture

Oh, man, I wish we were closer. It's almost impossible to find spring teeth around here, and I use them a lot in my "yard art".

There is a gal that makes the most awesome art out of old metal. She has a display at the shows and swap meets at Brooks, OR. I think her shop and gallery are near there. She had a running horse at a meet a couple years ago. It was made out of horse related metals. Bits shoes etc. Bigger than life size . It was awesome!! We bought a bird wind art from her last year when we were there.Made out of shovels and misc metal with a stone for a body and counter weight. She is one talented lady! You might check her out for some inspiration.

There was a gentleman in Mason City, NE that had a real talent for turning old implement parts into sculptures. He is gone now, I think that he had a real imagination.
