On top of everything else, my neighbor took off for AZ this morning and I promised him that I'd feed his cattle while he's away for the month.

Okay, he has one of these huge 200 horse White 4X4 tractors all dualed up and mounted with a big, black, 4-toothed DuAl/Woods loader. Gigantic 6-way hydraulic tilt blade on the rear. CAT III is of course, sensor/rheostat controlled.

Tractor cab is all glass with no partitions, digitally/thermostatically controlled heat/air, runs so quiet, ya can't tell it's even running, 16 or 20 electrically controlled speeds forward and reverse.

Loader is operated by one of those joy-stick thingys; all electric and smooth as a baby's bottom. Loader has a "weight gauge" right outside the cab glass so you can see just how much you are lifting. Tractor/loader hasn't set outside a day in it's life.

However, and sure don't wanna upstage him or anything, but darn it! Guess I'm just gonna have to haul my H over to his place and feed those old cows right! :>)

I remember you making a post like that after you borrowed that 7800 and then not too long afterward you bought that 1066:)

What type of front end do you have on that H? Looks like a later model IH wide front, but looks like it is the reason the front looks too high...

I'd say, with the weather as it's coming you got it backward. Since your feeding his animals, he probably wouldn't mind you runing that nifty, warm White over to your place to feed yours with either!:-)

Just got back from feeding mine. At high noon, 10 degrees and wind blowing like crazy. Cold cuts like a razor.

Sure glad you guys talked me into that cab on the Hydro 70. I may be getting soft in my old age, but I'm soft and warm too. :>)

Yep. It's hard to give up the comfort of the ol' H for a rig like you've just described. 'Sides, you've gotta be concerned about your health. You spent one day on one of them green tractors and looked what happened! You don't wanna be introduced to a new strain of that bug...

Well, heck yeah.

I feel guilty and getting soft for even putting cabs on these old tractors and working inside the garage.

Geeze! The sting of running a pitchfork at -10 in a thirty knot wind let's a guy know what life is all about. :>)

Hey Allen....sounds like runnin that white should be more fun than work, and at least it should not take much out of you.

Had two questions seeing that picture of your H.

1) Do you keep that grapple set up on for plowing snow too?

2) What causes the front to be so high (or is it that back low) on that tractor?

Take er easy ol pard!

Hey Bud!

I very seldom plow snow; that's one of the benefits of spring, it will melt eventually. :>)

I don't know. Thing has 11.2 tires on the back; maybe they are the wrong ones? Ya got me.

All I know is that it's one of the best little loader tractors I've ever rigged up. Just a heck of a lot of fun to run.

Allen, I don't think there is anything wrong with the way the H sits. I just think the house and shed are leaning and it makes the H appear to be the problem.

Pretty amazing to think that a 25 horsepower 60 year old tractor can do the same job as that big 'ol 200 horse 4X4, but it will, and it will be more fun.

Well, I guess it'll get the job done, but I might have to wonder if it will be more fun. And Allan, and don't get me wrong here, we never tire of seein' pictures of the ol' H, all decked out for winter work, but I was kinda hopin' for a picture of the White. . . ;>)

Allan;

Tractor looks fine to me. Should get a little more traction with the way it sets.

Be careful now and dont try to do too much too quick. You might have a relapse. Enjoy your drive
(ride) on the big White.

Keep warm steveormary
