Here in mid Missouri we have rain now and temps dropping. There calling for rain most of the weekend turning to freezeing rain then sleet and to top that all off snow. Oh well guess I'll be staying insdie mose of the day other then chore time.

old are you iced in yet ? we heard on 10 o clock
news is a real mess in se mo and central il who knows what we will get in nwil . 25 degrees and going down . we might get snow or ice or both before monday weather guesser keeps changing his mind which might be good as maybe we will just get colder and no ice rain or snow

Don't know if I'm iced in or not, haven't tred to get out but the road is ice coverd and you can here trees falling if you step out side. So far from the house I can see 2 or 3 trees that have fallen down and who know how many more between the main road and me have fallen. At least I still have power so I can keep warm

Here in SE Indiana it was in the 50s today, we are under a flood watch, 4-5 inches expected, with snow predicted Monday.

Just freezing drizzle fog all day so far but suppose to be icy rain tonight topped off by 2-4" snow Sunday. Sitting at 22 tonight headed down, BRRRR.

Temp is down to 17...been spitting snow off and on today. Forecast sez we may get our first measurable snow on Sunday and below zero temps early in the week.

Ouch, after reading so many of the replies below I almost feel guilty even saying what our temps were today. We were in the low 80's today, and right now at 6:15 PM and getting dark it's 76 degrees. Unfortunatly that cold is going to come all the way down here to the Mexico border by Tuesday, somehow I don't think the palm trees are going to like it one bit either.

It was 57 degrees Wednesday afternoon and 8 degrees Thursday afternoon with a 20 mph wind. Quite a change. It was -6 this morning, but not much wind. I had to come in from the shop this afternoon, I just couldn't get it warm enough to work comfortably. And I don't like to work with gloves on.

here in central wyoming... monday thru thursday saw extremely high winds... just down the road from us, gusts up to 100 mph (just add rain, instant hurricane)... blew rail cars off the track. thursday morning til now... 12" of snow and high for today is -4F & overcast. coldern a well digger's pipe wrench!!! ifn' it gets any globally warmer, I'm gonna hafta move somewhere nearer the equator! regards, D.L.

Just east of Tulsa, when I walked out to the shop about 4:30 this morning it was 60 and pretty darn nice.. 2 hours later it had dropped 25 deg and was raining ice.

Went to Lowes and bought a generator, news is going crazy with power outage warnings, hope I don't need the generator but you never know...

Old it's been freezing rain up here (North East corner of MO) since about 10:00 this morning. When I went to bed last night it was 54 degrees woke up to 37 and rain. Now (4:00 pm) it's sleet and freezing rain and the ground is almost covered with sleet, the highway is white. Just a nasty day. Their saying anywhere from 1/4 to 3/4 of a inch of ice tonight. Brian

North Central Iowa - sunny, windier than at the family reunion,colder that #@$^# about 2 this morn and near 15 now. forecast is for nice tomorrow then start sleet/snow Sun afternoon up to 4" & cold all next week. Finally back to normal!!!!! Like Billy NY says - need that to kill off next crop of bugs.

Just came in from tossing a load of oak in the basement. I have +2 defrees F, and thats the high so far. Them chickens will be lating eggcicle's in the morning, spose to be -10 with out the windchill. Sky's are clear.

Well it is raining here in Ky. Weather man says rain all weekend. Must be true they were giving out flood watches yesterday for this weekend.Calling for 4-5 inches. Dang Allen -9 that is more than I can bear. We are at 61 right now but will be in the 20's on Tuesday so they say. Allen i got that 986 IH. Gave $4750 for it. Hope it works LOL. Gonna change all the filters and fluids tomorrow. will be in a barn though. Gonna take the Grand daughter with me. That should be fun since she is only 2 yrs old. On second thought i may not get to change fluids and filters tomorrow.LOL you all stay safe and take care Tim

I'd say it's insane around here lately, eastern NY by the vermont border.

44 F right now, last saturday it was 70, I went down the hill away from the house onto our surrounding land, in a short sleeve shirt, in '02 we had 18" of ice on the big 23 acre pond, and snow that lasted til march, neither of which we have seen in awhile. The patterns are strange over the years, the 70's seemed harsh during the winter.

I'll tell ya Allan, move the rudder on that cold air machine and send some of that artic air this way, the darned ticks will be having another great 2 year cycle, and those gnats and other annoying insects are going to be thick, it's great to get a real nice cold snap with no snow cover, seems to put a dent in the bugs and we get some ice to skate on . I don't miss the hardships like frozen pipes, waterin horses, frozen or gelled up fuel systems on equipment, but the last 2 years seems like we are in VA or one of the warmer states to the south.

Sun shining and cold (3 degrees). Almost froze off the tops of the ears this morning at the gas pumps. The heavy coat I wear generates alot of static electricity so I tried not to get in and out of the vehicle. Still felt a small shock when I touched the gas nozzle. No explosion because it's so cold that the gasoline wasn't evporating.

Don't even say that! I still have AT LEAST one and one-half miles of power lines down between myself and electricity. My little 9hp Briggs generator is happily nursing off a 500 gallon lp tank, shutting down only to check or change oil. Will be two weeks tomorrow morning. So just keep that snow up there!
