I bought a Gambles Farmcrest 30 on a farm sale a while back. I think the block is cracked and shift gears are beveled to a 45 on each side.

Was wondering how rare these were. Was going to sell the radiator, hyd resivor, some tin work, lights, etc. Scrap around here is $90 ton unprepaird. So was courious if anything else was worth trying to keep or just the easy stuff.

Thanks
Gary

Somebody yesterday wanted serial number, so here goes.

Space on tag for tractor serial #, but wasnt there. Model # is 4B153. Engine # is 321755 w/ Budda engine. On the lower right part of the tag it has another #, but cant tell what it is for. The number is 114590.

It has a Marvel-Schibler carb and a Ross-Detroit hyd pump attached to the lower left side of motor. Maybe on the governer or something?

If anybody needs more info just ask

Thanks
Gary

You can still see Gambless painted (faded) on the sheet meatal. But I know what you mean about the serial #.

I guess I thought the coop, gambles and cockshutt were all the same just different paint. Can look number up latter. Where at? If I remember right there is something on the left side of the motor?

Unfortunately, like many production lines that made tractors with different badges on them, the Gambles lineup (or the Coope E3 etc) were not documented as to which ones were painted and labelled as those different makes. The one before and after this Gambles might have been a Cockshutt 30 or a Coope E3.
