OK, gentlemen I picked up a 12V Hitachi starter/gen today from scrap. Looked like a Ford tractor generator, that is why I grabbed it. Will post pic tomorrow,

Hitachi starter/Gen Mod # GSB 187-01

What does it fit????....Thanks

That starter generator fit a harley-Davidson,Ezy- go, club car and afew other golf cars. iIf you need parts go to any golf car dealer and they can get them,or send me an e-mail . It is also reversible and will generat in forward or reverse.

Likely, a golf cart.

Could the number be GSB 107-1?

Take a look at ebay auction #130069896023, especially at the reference numbers toward the bottom of the page.

Bob, I looked at the tag again, it could be 0 rather than 8....I removed the rubber plug to look at the brushes. Which look like there is not much wear on them.

What do you think on number. Hope pic is clear enough...thanks
