This occurred in an area I'm well familar with. Though I don't know the guy, we farmed in that area for about 8 years.

Those little Bob Cat escavators will roll too. I'm glad I took the time to repair and lube the seat belt/buckle on a rental unit. The ditch bank collapsed and we rolled in. Kind of embarassing hanging there mostly upside down. Better than being crushed however. There was no where to excape on the low side and no way one could jump and make it out the high side while going over. Those people who say they don't need safety equipment because they are too smart/careful/safe/wise/experienced/etc. They are either in denial, crazy or have no idea.

I had a close one on a Bobcat. Picking up material on a downward slope. Whole thing rolled up on it's nose. I had my seatbelt on and unintentionally hit the bucket and lift arm down pedals when bracing for the impact. It never came. Bucket caught it just in time. I do not run it on uneven surfacs anymore.

Just my $0.02

Let's go Mountaineers,

Aaron

Perfect example of why I prefer hand controls over hand/foot controls. Feet stay flat on the floor and don't inadvertently hit anything. Two hand levers control everything.

Be careful on those skidsteers! Seems like they are involved in a large number of farm accidents.

it gives me jitters sometimes about bobcats with heavy loads on slight inclines. They just aren't as stable as a solid loader tractor
