Acetone ( fingernail polish remover ) or if you are a painter of tractors use zylol ( I don't know it's generic name ), if those don't work then denatured alcohol or adhesive remover ( this might be acetone ) . Or I'd just keep scubbing it with a scotchbrite pad and dawn dishwashing liquid and HOT water . If that doesn't work I'd move onto a polishing cream for paint such as a medium rubbing compound . Last ditch effert - break out the heat gun and warm it up good and then try the polishing compound again . Some things just can't be removed though without finding bare metal so good luck ! ...Randy

I purchase cars and trucks from auction from time to time. They always write on the windshield or some glass. I use a single edge razor blade scraper to get the most off then some fine steel wool to get the rest.

If it is truly a white wax like crayon then use Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. If it is one of those dry markers then try alchol.

Aloha, Don"t know what the marker is made of but you could try lighter fluid.
