hey yall. I am new here and just bought my first first antique tractor. I grew up on a small farm in Mississippi but all of our equipment was 1980 or newer. We went to visit my grandfather every summer down in Meridian MS and he had an Oliver 88 and I fell in love with it as a kid. That old oliver was sold years ago. I wish I had it now but I just bought a 70. I am really looking forward to restoring it. I know I will need alot of help and am looking forward to picking your brains! Thanks and God bless

It breaks my heart to see a fine young man taking his first steps toward this kind of addiction. Who knows... He might have gone to medical school and cured cancer. Now he will spend his life with grease under his nails and cuts on his knuckles always looking down fence rows and graded roads for another fix. Could be worse I guess. He could have tried motorcycles.

Welcome Rookie This is a great place for old tractor nuts. I agree with 1936 this is only the beginning. If one gets the fever it is hard to cure.

A starting point on the road to more adult toys. A farm stand that is near me has a 70 narrow front and an F 12 for the city folk kids to play on while the parents buy sweet corn.

Wonder out loud as how common the Oliver 70 narrow front is?
