Can anyone tell me if there is an after market power steering kit for a John Deere model 2020 diesel tractor?

If you are willing to pay the $$$$$ new is going to cost you, check with Jackson's and see if they have a kit for that application.

I don't know if this will work but its about as simple as they get and worked great on my 56 Cockshutt 35 Blackhawk. I think its made by Chelsea but couldn't read the name on it with the hood on.

Now this is what one can get for $20 out here in Oregon. The white ring is where the power steering unit is under the hood. I only say one about it you can steer it with one finger standing still. Walt

I think you mean CHAR-LYNN. They make a hydraulic torque amplifier that goes in the steering shaft. The biggest problem is that they aren't cheap. I think any power steering pump will work with them as I don't think they are real high pressure. Dave

I think that you are correct I have a Char-Lynn PTO hydraulic pump for my Case LA. I remember that they were the same name now. Hey I'm getting Old. Anyway they do work great and are simple to install.

I have looked into a aftermarket PS system for a international and it was going to be $1500+ and a lot of work. Buying a junker is problemmatic, some times tractors are junked when the steering goes out. I would expect a dealer supplied system to be considerably more, maybe 2X.

I would cheapest to trade for a tractor with P.S. Next cheapest would be finding a wrecked 20,30 or 40 series with the same P.S. system and transplant it. The part numbers and what interchanges is all on the JD parts site.
