Here's a picture of Virgil's cattle he asked me to post. I hope it turns out alright. Sure are neat animals and they have lots of personality up close. Enjoy!

thanks in-to-deep for posting picture of cow and calf. the cow is topaz and calf is reenie. hey platteville ben do you recognize reenie? i have not found much these girls won't eat they like grassey hay over alfalfa. if you have anovergrown timber or pasture highlands are they way to go. i have seen them eat the tops of thistles after a hard freeze. freezing must soften up the thorns.

looks like my cow & calf only calf is purple or maybe thats grey. calf is about 2 weeks old. Those 2 & a yearling heifer are all I've got , down from 25. The yearling got away from me last Nov. & lived all winter in W. Va. cutover timberland. Finally came into a neighbors herd in March & we corraled her. No worse for the wear.

Just wonder how much personality the cow would have if a guy was to catch that calf? Not sure I would want to find out with those horns.
