I have a 574 and I cannot get the side shifter to go into reverse. It seems to be stuck in the middle. It won"t shift to the low gear side. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had that problem too = Remove the sheet metal behind where your Left foot rests.
You will see the leavers when you wiggle the shifter. One of them has to be pushed back .

get under the tractor , engine stopped etc, and have a helper wiggle the gearleaver uou will see what has got out of alaignment a strong screwdriver might be helpfull not brute force. there is now some age related wear on the gear linkage easily repairable i believe , if it has only happened once yet it may not happen again for a while if you use positive movements , into neutral accross then into gear

Check the shifting linkages. You will have to remove some of the tin to do so.
