I have owned a lot of Olivers and have 756 IHC.
Was wondering if these two tractors are about the same HP??
i PUT A FRONT MOUNTED PUMP ON A 77 ONCE AND ADDED A HEAVY DUTY 3PT.

Made a nice outfit. Know that the 300 has down pressure--how is the 3 pt. add-on that goes into the 2 pt.????

Just looking for a little tractor that has more go than an ole 9N Ford.
Thanks

For one thing, how often are you going to get on and off this thing. Oilver is a LOT easier in that respect than the 300. I've had a couple of 77s,still have one and have had a 300 row crop and utility. Got rid of both, just couldn't hold a candle to the 77 in any catagory,power,comfort,weight,reliability...I'd stick with the 77 hands down going away. The 300 replaced the Super H,which I always thought compaired to a 66 not a 77.

I kinda like my IHC 300 with working TA a little better than my Super 77. But the S77 is a beefier tractor, I can pull full wagons with it, not the 300.

The 300 is a 2pt, it does not match the geomotry of a real 3pt very well, I got a converter a few years ago but never even hooked it up. Don't think it would give full lift of a real 3pt.

Don't think I helped much....

HP is close but the Oliver will out pull the 300 in most caeses. I know BTDT and prefer the oilver 77. If you need one I have one for sale

Oliver 77 has: 25.7 rated drawbar HP, 32.3 max drawbar HP. IHC 300 has 26.9 drawbar, 33.89 PTO, 36 belt.

Yeah they are pretty close. You mentioned a 756 IHC, that's a 76.5 PTO HP tractor. Doug N
