I just saw your post for the IH3206 mower.

I have a 3204, which is the 4 rotor version. It is built by Kuhn in Germany. It is an early design and many parts are not available any longer. Skid plates and runners are hard to find if you need them. They are the same as a New Idea disc mower.

They do a great job of mowing and never plug, but be careful around any trash or fences that can cause sudden stoppage.

I would like to have a 3206 as the 4 rotor is slow mowing. The extra 32 inches would speed things up a lot... Gene

Gene, thanks for the reply.Do you know if the Kuhn or NI parts will cross over on these mowers?I have a few junk/parts mowers available that are Kuhn,NI and NH.A lot of these mowers were just about the same being that Kuhn built most of them. Thanks Gene for the info.

Kuhn did change the design of the units slightly, don't know exactly when. The skids are a little different, but I think the main design was pretty much the same. I broke the square drive shaft that drives the individual units. Was able to get a new one, but apparently was the last one in the country. Cost $165.00. This is for the 4 rotor unit.

Not familiar with the NH units.

I have gotten parts for my mower from New Idea and are the same as IH.

I have been making skid plates from plate steel and they are working fine. Have a supply of knives I bought off ebay a couple years ago, so am in good shape there. I need new top covers, but they are pretty pricey.

I use mine mainly for cleanup mowing and have had it in some places I shouldn't have and done some damage, but have managed to keep it going.

have a great holiday.... Gene
