Now the mini-excavator has finished in the garden, we have been carting away rubble and bringing back good quality top soil for the flower borders.
Steve Parkes' normal 13 ton Komatsu excavator is working on a site on a field where there is sandy top soil. That little trailer of mine officially carries 3/4 ton, and those buckets hold around 1 ton each. We've been carting home 1 & 1/4 ton at a time !!! Tyres bulging and low gears up hills!

Is that a 130 dave? I run a 200 and we have some 400"s at my work. Those komatsu"s are great machines.

That is one way to get some good soil, that mini excavator you posted previously, they make real short work of loading a wheel barrow, I may have to own one of those, they are real labor savors, but then again the hard work also keeps one fit too.

Hey David, Now that's truckin' a little at a time. I'd like to have about 25 yards of that soil but it's too far to truck it.

Overloading trailer, huh? Sounds like normal local practice. If the axle bends, THEN you've overloaded.
