Daughters daycare had the day off so the 2 year old grandson spent the day in the combine with me. We had a blast. He never complained once.

We came to the house at noon to get a sandwich and as soon as he got his ate he said.

"Lets go combine" so away we went for another 4 hours.

Looks like a fine young fella - there will sure be happy memories of those moments forever.

I have two grandkids - a boy (11) and a girl (almost exactly 10 years behind big brother). We think she's going to be the outdoors one, although we've tried hard with the boy. She's absolutely fearless!

Like my daddy always said - if I had known how much fun granchildren were, I'd have had them first third party image

Enjoy that boy spend all the time you can with him . I only have one grandchild haven't seen him since he was 7 he now is 22 . I can still remember him right behind me asking more questions than I could answer . Any time you can spend with him he will remember the rest of his life .

When my father-in-law passed away recently, my son (now in his 20"s) went down to the barn and got one of the empty Eptam cans. When asked what he was doing, he said he was collecting a bucket of memories. Seems that grandpa used to take Michael into the fields with the cab tractor, and there was just room for him to ride along seated on the can. Those memories can be precious. TAKE A KID FARMING TODAY!

Gary, that is a fine looking boy, and those pictures are priceless. I have one in my Kodak of my 91 year old Mom and my 2 year old Great Grandson I need to print off.

Haha, reminds me of my first ride with my uncle. I rode a little while with him before we were going to make a trip into town. When my mom waved that it was time to go I went to climb down and was not watching what I was doing and I missed every step on the way down. Nothing hurt but my pride. Must've looked real funny though, think I was about ten or so.

Heck, John I did that and I was about 40 at the time. I was still young enought that I got up and looked around to see if anyone was looking. At 66 in a month I would look around to see if any one was looking so they could help me up before I got up. LOL

Perfect I would say. Makes me jealous for both the place and event. Get the " farm" in the boy and it never leaves to which I can Attest. Are you on the home stretch with harvest? Sounds like you have made a lot of trips to the bin. Migraine

Everytime I have put my grandkids in my neighbours combine for a ride they fall asleep before they've made a round in the field! Fine looking boy in your pictures!
