I have a 1951 case s im trying to restore. I have two shop manuals which have helped a lot. However neither one says anything about a coil or solenoid. The tractor is 6 volt with both generator and magneto. Does anyone out there know if the case s has a coil and solenoid? There is no solenoid, that is all done by the big starter switch on the dash, and you can't have an external coil without a distributor. You do have a coil, it's just built inside the magneto. Loy
