How do you check the engine oil level? Can someone help me with how to check the oil and how much it holds? Thanks

On the right side of the tractor just below, and slightly behind the fuel sediment bowl is a petcock which has a 3/4" hex head on it. Loosen it three or four turns and oil should run or drip out the hole on the bottom. The crankcase has a 13 quart capacity.

Thanks for the information David, where is the kill switch? My tractor won't start, I'm thinking the kill switch is stuck or something. We even pulled it off and it never hit once! Any ideas? Thanks
