I have a ferguson 35 that has been sitting outside for several years unused. The shifter boots have allowed alot of water in the rear end.The hydraulics would go straight up as soon as I start the tractor, but will not go down. After it sits a few hours,it will slowly creep down.I drained the rear, which was full of water and added 90 wt.gear oil.Now the lift won't raise at all.Could it be gunk in the rearend or something else. Please help.DD

Doug, the rear end and hydraulics in those tractors are all within the same housing. You should be using Hy-Trans or some equivalent hydraulic system oil in there. Not sure if that would cause the problems you're discussing, but wanted to let you know. Also, post your question on the Massey Ferguson forum and you're bound to get a lot of information in return.
