I heard some parts of northern NJ may be hit with heavy snow. They're calling for mostly rain here in NE MD, but its 31 degrees now so I guess we wait and see. Hal

Today, some communities in extreme SE Kansas are getting their electricity back for the first time since Sunday morning.

In neighboring Cherokee county, the damage is almost {but not quite} as bad as the worst ice storm I have ever seen...And that was last winter, south of Neosho, Missouri, around the Goodman area.

Had nasty ice storm here monday night and tuesday. Just got power back on last night at 7pm. Snowing as I type with around an inch on the ground, calling for 3-5 here. I have cut trees for 4 days solid and have a big pile of fire wood at least. Am in NW MO.

Half inch of wet snow in Wichita KS (south central) at 10 PM - but we are on the very edge of where they said the snow was going and I think they are getting more to the north and west of us. So far in Wichita the storm is a big dud but like I said, I think they are getting more elsewhere.

Ditto in Derby. They said wintery mix and that is what we have had. Snow, sleet, freezing rain, rain.

Pretty weak out here in the Panhandle... We"ve probably had a couple of inches of snow and roads are slick, but no ice storms to speak of.
