I have one and it has been shot once and I don't have a box! I took it to Cabela's to find a price, they offered me $300 without the box and fired, they said if I had the box it would be worth $100 more. I sell theirs used without a box for $450.00 hope this helps some! Staci

I have been collecting winchester lever guns for years and I have not found a dealer yet that will tell you the truth. The reason is that they are always looking to buy them as the market varies by region. I know what things go for in my area of New Mexico. Pre-1964 winchesters usually go from $400 to as high as your imagination can bare. Post 64s go usually around 400 and post 1971"s will bring from 250 to 400 depending on condition. Your rifle is a commemorative though and the value of them is a little different. John Wayne rifles are bringing top dollar; even more if unfired. Others are only about 600 to 1200 depending if they haven"t been fired and the condition of the box. Last year, I bought a Chief Crazy Horse commemorative that came out in 1983 because it was chambered in 38-55. I bought it brand new in the box for $600. The blue book valued it at $700 unfired or 600 used. It is one of the commemoratives that did not take off. Being that it doesn"t matter a great deal in value difference, I shoot it as I would any good used gun. The way collectors define unfired is simply if the lever has ever been operated. That is why winchester puts a big plastic strap on the lever around the reciever so that you can"t open the lever. Personaly, I am glad I cut the strap and opened the lever on mine as it had a lot of condensation rust from years of storage. It makes me wonder about those many rifles that have never been opened and what condition the insides are in. My advice to you is that you use your rifle as you would any other good rifle and have fun with it.

Thanks all for the input I am in no rush to sell it, was just wondering. It is like new not a mark on it. It unfortunately has been shot. About 5 times total, I know fired is fired. Still have the box. John in Md you sound like a dealer, I have seen plain models with lots of use selling for those prices.

Anything with the Winchester name on it right now the prices are going through the roof. Exspecially anything that is relative to the model 94 or a lever because winchester stopped production of levers about 1 1/2 ago so if it is a winchester make sure you are well informed before you sell it and like what was said in one of the other post dealers not big box dealers(gander mountian etc.) real dealers will tell you what they are worth for free find a dealer you trust though.

I would go to your local gun delare and he should tell you the value of it for free (unless he wants to buy it then he might tell you it is worth less)

According to the Blue Book of Gun Values the 1969 Golden Spike Carbine in 100% condition is valued at $495. There were 69,996 rifles made with an issue price of $120. Hope this helps.

Any Winchester stuff has been on a serious rise in price, the pre-64 stuff is headed for the stratosphere. Get yourself pretty well informed before you yell SOLD.

If it's new in the box around $350. If you've shot it around $200 or less depending on condition.
