Hi, everybody I have aquired my first tractor. unforunately the previous owner didn"t know much about it. after looking at pictures I"m pretty sure it is from the 50"s wide front end international tractor, sez so on the side in chrome letters block, overhead valve 4 cyl. modifird with fork lift on back has hydraulic pump built in enine block with ign distributor on front of pump has power steering on streering shaft. doesn"t work need parts and books, also need card overhaul kit. numbers on side by clutch housing are 660486-r6 below that is .1.2.5.0 is that date of manufature? possible I-9 1953 ? I have photos but have to load them at work any help would be greatly appreciated thanks again DB

A part # beginning with 6 would indicate a standard hardware item like a hose, bolt, or pin.

Chrome (probably stainless steel) tags indicate models made from '55 to '59.

Power steering torque generator on shaft indicates larger tractors in the Farmall line, not International line. Internationals used hydraulic cylinders.

1.2.5.0 means nothing to me. Date codes use a letter at the end like Z=1954 and A=1955.

At this point, I am thinking you have a Farmall 400-450. It is just a guess because your info is too sketchy.

Look in the photo area of this site and search for what you think it is. If you find pictures of it you might have a better idea of what it could be

Hi, I can't help you much but would suggest that you go to the farmall/International section of the discussion forum. You may get some information going to the serial number section if you figure out what model you have, this will tell you the year.
