Well, here I go again,I purchased a Belarus 250 AS a short while back, and thought I was doing a good thing when I started replacing filters, well one thing I didn,t know at the time was I was supposed to mark the oil filter in some way before I took it off , needless to say I did not do this, so I guess it will be out of balance ,so how do I balance this filter the way it should be, they say experience is the best teacher, thanks in advance for any and all information regarding this subject..

My 562 was marked from factory. Had a 250 and the best I remember it was also marked. Look at lower edge of the spinning drum part were it meets the flat base, looks like a chisel mark.

I have A Belarus 800 with centrifugal filter and all I do is take the housing off and scrape out the crud and put it back together. Have never taken apart the part that spins. Frank

I have put them back together and had no problem. Look and see if tthere is a mark of some kind on it already. Former owner might have made.

Are you sure they wanted the filter balenced? Maybe ballasted, filled, with oil ? Alot gets lost in translation specially when it is done by students who have no idea what they are writing about.

It is a spinning "centifugal filter".

kstractor, YOU are the one who is confused, NOT the good Rusky folks that wrote the manual!

With stuff from other countries, what we would consider "weird" is the "norm".

Yep,guess I got in a hurry taking this filter off before I checked a little farther, any way ,I did take it completely apart, cleaned it and put back together ,thats when I found out about putting it back correctly, will take it back off and look for marks just as soon as I get a little extra time,or what could be the worst scenario if I left it as is,lack of oil pressure or?, thanks to every one for your in put.
