What's the best way to straighten the driveshaft for my PTO driven Post Hole digger? Lent it to a "friend", got it back bent like a "U". I straightened it in my press, and it doesn't spin too badly- but it binds as it increases or decreases in length so much that my digger ain't diggin'! This is one that has the cloverleaf shaped solid inside shaft.
Any ideas, other than get a new one?

Better yet, let your "friend" buy a new one. I just got a 48" one w/guard for $116 at the local JD dealer. BTW half of what TSC wanted for the identical one. Jim

Yep! You Answered your own Question, As I had One Bent on a Bush Hog and You are a WHOLE lot better off to get a new One. Mine (For the Hog) wasn't too Exp. Think around 80$ at TR Supply, I'm Thinking thats correct.. Larry KF4LKU

You will not go wrong to buy a new one. It is nearly impossible to properly straighten one. Once they are bent, they have been weakened and will surely cause problems later... Gene
