I just got a phone call;the power and gas company accidentally shut off my freinds dads power[supposed to shut of the gas,not power]He came to find sump pump pit full and got a generator placed outside the home.Worked awhile and felt tired.Went to bed and never woke up.Carbon monoxide entered through a window[probably where the extension cord was]enougfh to kill him.The father who died and his two sons hung around together and did things alot.He just retired. The sons are devastated.Wake today and tommorow.Burial monday.

All loss of life is the worest possible for the living to work with. Know the feeling very well.

Now the soap box talk. This state has a law that a working carbon monoxide detector alarm has to be installed in each home. Also fire alarm detectors. Don't go home to night with out both if you don't have them already installed.

That happened to a couple in PA during an ice storm we had on Tuesday of this past week. Their power was off and had 2 generators running in the garage. Sure hate to hear this. Hal

I'm sorry to hear that. Our family just lost a loved one this past summer in a crop dusting accident. He was only 25 years old. Just goes to remind us that the Lord could take us away at any time and we need to be ready.

Sorry to hear of it.

Had friend who had a Class C motorhome on his undeveloped property and had an external APU running..... up wind. If it weren"t for his bladder and his cell phone his wife would be spending his life insurance right now.

For you guys that camp, keep it down wind.

Mark

Holy *rap that is terrible. I remember when I built my house I had a generator setup in the house and always had windows open for airflow. I didnt know that a generator outside could kill you if the window was open.

Obviously he didn't do everything right with the genny. Shame that some mistakes can not be undone.

Bummer, I can't imagine how devestated I'd be if my dad died.
