rpms of a shaft

I am running a 1/20 hp motor on a 10" rubber wheel at 1725 rpm. The motor has a 1/2" shaft against the 10" pulley. What is the rpm of the shaft off 10" pulley shaft?

RPM x diameter of one = RPM x diameter of the other.

Just take the circumference (distance around the surface of the pulley where the belt will run) of each and divide the larger by the smaller. Circumference is 22/7 (3.1417....) x the diameter.

I didn't run the numbers but you got 2 answers below that are the same so that must be it.

Additionally, like others stated, slippage has to be factored into it....hard to measure that and it can change drastically depending upon the load you are trying to transfer.

I'm told by folks on this post that this tol is form determining the RPM on a shaft. Hold the nub to the shaft for 60 seconds, and read off the actual RPM on the dial.
Never used it- but it looks cool!

which is probably 15% plus, so the actual speed would not likely be more than 75.... and that still doesn't factor load and how much speed the motor will lose under load.

If I read that right, the pully is 20 times the size of the shaft driving it, so the rpm of the pully will be one twentieth of the shaft RPM, roughly 87.5 rpm.

I dont think there is any slippage but could be..the figures come pretty close to mine I just wanted to make sure I was figurin it right..this is kind of home made gadget so far so good. thanks all

There is always slipage in a friction drive. It may only be 1%, but it is there. I'd expect it to be 10-15% though...
