Peanut butter cookies are my favorite, even more than chocolate chip. Australia is one of the few places I would really like to see, but I think you would need a couple of months to really get to see it. Maybe some day. Lovely pictures. There"s nothing like a good picture of a nice crop. Its just something I like to see.

Rex, do you guys make much peanut butter? I know that may sound wierd but my daughter visited Australia last year and said she never saw any except what the American kids brought with them. She said all anyone had was vegamite, and she wasn't terribly fond of that. I guess its an aquired taste. Anyway just curious.

Thanks for the comments Guys. (Of course Nancy I include you as an honorary Guy on this forum - hope that is ok)
You would need more than a couple of months, this is a great country. My wife and I spent nearly 2 years touring on a motor cycle and trailer a few years ago and we reckon we barely scratched the surface. Was a good experience tho.(well before kids came along)
Yes we love peanut butter - is made in Australia too,(called peanut paste in some states) We also love vegemite, grew up on it and yes it is an aquired taste!
God Bless,
Rex

OK, I am based close to Toowoomba, but work takes me up to the Sth Burnett (Kingaroy Etc) so that photo is not far from Kingaroy.
Peanut breed I am not sure, I do know that if they are in the ground too long and it gets wet they have a rust problem, but don't think there are too many other issues growing them there.
Will try to get some harvest photos. Just missed out the other week in another area.
Cheers,
Rex

Rex, are those Spanish peanuts? Sure don't look like the runners I'm use to. Our peanuts will put on enough vines you cant see a row, just the spray middles. Much disease pressure? Ours have fungicide put on them in 21 day intervals. Snap a few pics digging and picking, I would love to see the equipment you use.

I lived in Melbourne for a month and a half and loved it. It's a lot like the U.S. but people are more honest. I suppose the lawyers starve Downunder.
