Tire Question

I overloaded my trailer last week for a fairly long haul.

I have 14 ply tires on, but when I got home, two of them had bulges "under the skin" on the side. One was as big as a baseball.

I popped them with a knife to keep them from separating any further and the tires have stayed up since then.

Have the cords separated to cause that? Are the tires totally ruined? Or if I put a little slime in them and just kept them aired up would they still be "safe"???

Cheap tires, Humm. Must not value your load and safety of yourself or others if you lost control during a blowout.
Remines me of the guy that went to buy a lazyboy chair, put it in the back of the truck and did not tie it down. It blew out the back, a car hit it, crossed the hwy and hit a car headon. Killed the driver. The guy with the chair got manslaughter and is in prison. Do yourself a favor and buy trailer rated tires. And you never can put to many tie downs on the loads

With that kind of bulge, you're asking for trouble. You better get some new tires pretty darn quick, or there are gonna be some serious problems hauling the next load.

Can't believe you got away with it! Drive slow. Carry a spare or two.
