I have an Allied 580 loader on my MF 265. One of the lift cylinders has a leaky rod seal. I got the cap off, now what do I look for that might be bad in those seals? Is there any way I might not need to replace the whole packing kit?

Thanks for the help.

Anyone done some of these replacements to recommend a supplier for the part and tips changing it? Thanks.

I'd replace the whole thing. The lips are probably worn down or cracked on the lip seals, and the rod guide is probably worn. A worn guide is what allows the seals to go bad...rw
