Well, I had an odd car pull up my driveway. Guy gets out and says the census is coming in April. I asked him if he knew it was May, because April was last month. Aren't you a little early?

I can't believe how the US Govt wastes my money. They are paying a guy to drive around in a car to hand me a half sheet of paper, printed on one side in English, the other side Spanish and tell me the Census is next year. Like I am going to remember that 11 months from now.

It's not their country. It is mine - ours - and they aren't entitled to it. The gooberment is against you and me and all individuals who want to exercise their personal freedoms and rights. They (gooberment) only want to give rights to groups, and to do that you first have to take rights away from individuals. Sc*ew them and their forms.

My 2010 census form will join its 1980,1990, and 2000 brethern in the trashcan. All YOU get out of it is an increase in junk mail.
If I were to reply, it would show 23,197 people living at this address, along with any other BS answers I could think up at the time.
Meanwhile, I WANT to see the federal law that mandates this pre-census, census?
I HATE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, NOTHING GOOD comes from it, if you are NOT a un-employed minority.

It IS the Law-unless yer a Commie in reply to Wascally Wabbit, 05-21-2009 18:30:49
The Constitution includes the phrase "An Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct." Congress first met in 1789, and the first national census was held in 1790

As a genealogist type person i have used the Census to look up many a relative its real nice when you can find your family on it. all data is held in closed files for 73 years so it doesn't mean a lot to those who would like to get at it. Only the number of people is given to the government for the count to setup the Congressional districts. Once a few years back I got the long form Boy was that one fun. I hope my grandchildren get to see it someday.

Whose country is it.....the census is being done in many, many, many areas especially urban areas by ACORN. It is not your government when the person knocks at the door. It is a "community organizer" member who is being paid (political payoff) to do the census for the government.

And, you damn well better believe the heads up is printed in Spanish.....this census will determine the size of the exploding Hispanic population..... and it will be used to re-apportion members of Congress to increase representation from high population illegal immigrant areas..... let me say this again, it will be used to increase members of Congress from rapidly growing illegal immigration population areas.

If you are non-hispanic and a legal U.S. citizen you damn well better stand up and be counted..... the window of oppurtunity is rapidly closing.

Just take the number that left Mexico and add it to the last census You will have a pretty accurate count and it won't cost anything

You don't have to fill that form out.
They will just keep bugging you till you make an appointment to let someone come into our house as happened to me till they do it, Gov people will come in and ask questions and put that info in their laptop and be on their merry way.

But they did say it was a law even on the original form to have to give the information they wanted.

P.S. I was chosen randomly.

Try not filling out the business census form once and see what happens.

The census is one of the relatively few things the federal gooberment does that's mandated by the Constitution. I have no problem with it, in the short form. I don't recall ever getting the long form, so I can't say whether I'd object to it or not.
