Original Owner | We happened upon an estate sale .The first thing we saw was a 1946 ford 2n tractor sitting in a shed, with the original owners manual on top of it . It turns out the original owner of the tractor, at 96 years of age, had just passed away two months earlier. I told my husband 'where else can you find an original owner of such an old tractor ', so we just had to buy it. It had spent it's entire life plowing the same 6.5 acres of walnuts and was always kept in a shed. Within two weeks we took it to a tractor event and put over 50 miles on it, with no problems at all. We still use it for discing our property and it lives in a barn next to our 1950 Case Vac and our modern John Deere. leslie ferguson, ca, entered 2005-06-10 My Email Address: Not Displayed |
