Sickle bar sections....

I am rebuilding the sickle bar on a Cub that my
Granddad bought in '49 (the year I was born). I was in my local farm supply store and noticed that there are 3 kinds of sections for these bars. There are fine, medium and coarse teeth. What is the difference and which one is best for mowing pasture? I have an Arabian horse farm in Western Missouri and use the cub to keep the weeds down in the pasture
