Internal pto shifter on Cub

Researched the archives yesterday when my pto began jumping out while mowing. Apparently I have a bad internal shifter pin/lever on my Cub. I disassembled externals and enlisted my wife's help to remove the splined shifter and to inspect all internals by fingering (My hand is too big to get through the opening left by removal of pto shaft and plate.) Can anybody give a step by step procedure to remove and replace the internal shifter pin. Thanks.
