I've never driven Farmalls before (I grew up on Allis-Chalmers) but I have a chance to buy a nice Super MDTA. However, there seems to be a big problem with the torque amplifier. IF going down a hill and you put it in the low range to help hold you back, it just starts to roll like you're in neutral. What's involved with fixing this? It goes allright up a hill. I like being able to put my Allis D-17 in low range to help hold a big load when going down hill...saves on the brakes.
