Early 60's Deere vs Farmall

In the early 60's Farmall 460's were sold against John Deere 3010's and 560's were sold against the 4010's. Deere had a big HP advantage and new modern design which gave them a big foothole in sales in our area, which to this time had been dominated by IHC. These are Nebraska Test pto hp comparisons of the various models. 460 vs 3010: 460 gas 51.63, 3010 gas 55.09, 460 lp 51.96, 3010 lp 55.39, 460 diesel 52.19, 3010 diesel 59.44. The hp gap was much worse with the 560 which was our main size. 560 vs 4010: 560 gas 65.25, 4010 gas 80.96, 560 lp 62.55, 4010 lp 80.60, 560 diesel 62.60, 4010 diesel 84.00. When the 706 and 806 came out IHC closed the gap but Deere had gained many customers who never came back to IHC. Again Nebraska Test pto hp. 706 vs 3020: 706 gas 73.82, 3020 gas 70.59, 706 lp 73.66, 3020 lp 70.66, 706 diesel 72.42, 3020 diesel 71.26. 806 vs 4020: 806 gas 93.27, 4020 gas 95.59, 806 lp 93.42, 4020 lp 94.57, 806 diesel 94.93, 4020 diesel 94.88.
