I have a IH 340 with a C-135 engine, almost the same engine but a bit bigger. There is a pressure relief valve which limits the maximum pressure. Mine is 45 PSI, which is what the oil pressure stays at when hot. ( now that I rebuilt the engine.) Before it barely made 10 PSI at 1800 RPM when hot. When hot at low idle it will drop to 20 or so. If your oil pressure is low, the solution is not to fool yourself by putting in a heavier weight oil. Wayne
